I am taking the sad mike tutorial here at my internship program, i'm at the office right now.

I have made the eye holes, but the next step in the tutorial is to add like rings around the eyes. I am having trouble "creating" the ring type things seen in this image. I have no clue how to get this done.

That tutorial is a bit weak. He doesn't explain alot of stuff. I really recommend that Joan of Arc tutorial on that same website a lot more. http://www.3dtotal.com/

I hope you are using version 5 and have your mesh converted to poly, cause that's the way I do it. Not saying it's the best way but just the best way I know :)

1. Go into sub-object edge mode (select half of face and hit 2).
2. Grab all the edges on the inside of the eye. (hold cntrl to select multiple edges.
3. Hold down shift and scale the edges in. (hit r 2 times for non-uniform scale)
4. As the verticies get closer together, weld them together.
5. Be sure to scale in the "front window" dont let go of the edges until you adjust the depth in the "left view window".

Hope that helps. Seriously,,,, Try that other tutoruial first, it is very explanatory and the same rules apply.
