Hi there,

I'm a new member. I don't know if this is good enough for the board, but here are some work of mine.
It's some kind of product analyzing. Done in MAX. Modelling 1:1 (mm)

Facts: 280.000 faces. It's just for some still images.

Sorry about my english - i'm danish.

Hi there Kenneth_fejer

Thanks :)

Yep, some of the "hard stuff" are modelled in AutoCAD (MAX couldn't do the job) - Most of it are modelled with splines and box.

hmm.. nice.
although it's not very precise... some of the forms, around the middle of it is slighly "wrong". It's a bit rounder, not sharp edges...

the standard g3 magg doesnt look like that,.

check out www.hkpro.com for some pics of the real thing.

but, it's good, just minor things thats wrong.

:thumbsup: :thumbsup:

nice imagery there, but i'm sure you realise you could have got identical results using atleast 10 times less polygons. thats just outragious

@STRAT

Who cares about polygons today ? (thinking of still images)

I'm not a gamefreak, and I know MAX can handle min. 10+ mill. polygons together with a good graphicscard. If I got problems I just buy more RAM.

"Low poly modelling" may be a artist art, but not for me. :)

thats pretty sexy. you should just make the stand feet like the one in the picture. And also the back end of the gun is not touching the ground.

Efficient usage of polys is probably a good thing to get used to - even in still images. Its a skill that might come in handy when that big project comes through the door.

look at the pistol grip, on the real gun it sort of melt into the rest of the gun. and both the grip and the box with the safety etc is in the same material. (same part that the mp5 etc uses)

that was the detail that bothered me the most.

(sorry about my sucky english =)

@Krugar

About the feet. Here are many standard feet for rifles.
Take a look at this ref. and you will see it almost the same I have modelled.

Yeah, I have notest that the rifte has left the ground. I will fix it.
