You have some pretty great death scenes there. Cool anim, wish there was sound (or is that my machine?). The expression on the last guys face right before he dies is confusing, is he happy, angry or what? I like the effects though, cool use of fluids.

There I put up an mpg it looks much better than the divx garbage.
I'm no good at sound so if anyone wants to do it that'd be nice.

uncon - thanks, I was going for an evil grin. I donno what hes thinking really.

When they first walk in, what are they doing? Is that one guy trying to put scuff marks the floor? Why does the other guy fall off that chair? Who does the third guy shoot with that rocket launcher? If he's the owner, who is the black robed demon guy?

I'm afraid I just don't understand.

well the flame text effect was pretty cool....and then of course there was the smoke text effect at the end.

but seriously...the story makes almost no sense. i would suggest trying your hands at a shorter project before attempting something so long. work on getting nice fluid animation...which is really the important part after all.

I thought the animation was pretty good and the realisation of some of the camera movements were good ( the part where the cloaked figure jumps up to the top floor) but at the same time some of the camera movement could have been tweaked a lit bit more, like where the first guy gets shot in the head.

just my 2 cents

Hey, first of all, thanks for putting up an mpg. Appreciate that!
Now about the animation. I thought it was good. I think the special fx were the best part and are perfect as is. All the models looked really good to me too. The only think I would look into again are some subtle issues of the character animation. Little things like giving the objects that the gun man is using a sense of weight. Like when he flips the bazooka... it kinda look to easy to move. I din't get a sense of weight or mass. That would have been a great place to get the shoulders and back into the motion. Stuff like that. They are little things, but go a long way towards adding to the animation.
Again, I think it looks really good.

thanks everyone for the feeback

Ex Tessera - you may need to watch more closely but three guys break in. They act annoying and then the owner comes out with a cloak(which he takes off near the end)and killes them one by one.
Its pointless entertainment and the rockets just for more effects.

The rest of you guys are right on all points. I did a hack job on the whole thing and most of the problems are just poor planning and trying to do too much. Came up with most of the cameras during animation, which I dont think I spent more than three hours animating any one scene. And my animations are always rushed because I waste all my time on texturing which is my weakest point. Id rather lay uvs all day than paint textures.

I think I will go for technical effects as that part is the most fun for me. And hopefully I will have an animation director behind me and some good plans from now on.
In the end my whole plan was to provide entertainment and I hope you got some out of it.

and keep posting everyone. I love to hear what you think :D
