CGTalk - my bird can't fly

so i modelled a falcon, its nothing great, but anyway, i place bones and an IK Chain in its wing, but it just messes everything up as soon as i move the wing....any ideaS?:hmm:

At first glance - I'd say it was the area of influence that the envelopes of you Skin (or Physique) modifier that's doing the most part of the damage to the mesh...

See how much the parent/child overlap and try to soften the influence at each joint.
