CGTalk - Layers in 3d max 4

So, I'm using 3d max four and i'm trying to find the layers button, but I can't seem to find it. I am trying to learn rigging, any help? thanks.

Max 4 doesn't come with layers, it was a new addition in 5. You can however use Rezn8's layer script which IMHO opinion works a lot easier then layers in Max5. You can find it here:

Max 4 does have layer interface, but only for the SDK (Discreet's first VIZ-Max transformation attempt). There isn't a real GUI interface to them though.

Intrinsia's right, Rezn8 script is good enough.
