An asset I worked on last month for my reel I'm putting together. Feel free to let me know what you think.

might just be me, but it seems that the hammer isn't as heavy as it should be. Maybe a bit more struggle? other than, that nice job. great facial expressions!

It makes me feel a little bit unrealistic.

Especially, the man lifts the hammer and walks backward. The speed makes should be much higher, and then slow down, speed up again.....

When he's tilting it at the beginning it's really showing the weight, but when he picks it up, his body needs to be more under the heavy end. Have him go way slower at the start of the lift, and THEN go quick (what you're doing here) to the catch. It's just a matter of pose tweaking and shifting some timing around. Nice job so far man.

when he's stumbling backwards at the end, greatly reduce or pretty much eliminate his cog's up and down movement. The hammer should be making it so he can't bounce up and down, and in fact have a simple continual translate Y downwards like it's weighing him down as he stumbles.

Its a good start. I agree with ever one else about the things that need to change. I would also animate the shoulders. When a person pick up a heavy object there spine goes back and the shoulders move forward or they drop. People have lots of movement in the shoulders, that should help bring more life to the character.

I want to thank everyone for their suggestions. At this time, I have the changes implemented, and the scene will be used in my reel. You have aided me in creating stronger work, THANKS!

the beginning was great but i think when he runs by at the end the hammer should lead him cuz it feels too bouncy and you lose the feeling of weight, but there are great moments of weight...
