Whoa great sketches... I know long time no see, long story... but in short, I got a new laptop. ;)
I only can hope to get better in realism, you guys are good at it ;)
Photoshop 55 min (around that anyways)

Edited: And after looking at it for a while, I realized I got anatomy and rhythmic feeling of gesture drawing wrong. I got this great realization all thanks to my small, but starting study of anatomy sketches everyday (I haven't gotten to that everyday habit yet, but I am trying). I'm glad to see that it's starting to pay off and it's motivating me to do more. ;) Woohoo. Sorry for my rambling lol I'm off to bed. Zzzz.

Here is my image . At the 55min mark I still had to do the eyes, nose and mouth . I also made the head larger as in my original sketch the head was much to small. So, the total time for the image was 59minutes and it was done in Corel PhotoPaint.
I want to get better at sketching/painting without using reference images or just from my imagination which I find hard to do and this forum is great for this. If I have reference images to look at I can paint/draw fairly well but drawing from memory is much harder for me
Anyways , the image is not that original but this is what came to mind for The Boxer.
P.S. Great images everyone.

You guys made some very nice sketches in this thread:thumbsup:
Here's mine. Took about 1.5 hours using PS, no ref.
Here's a stage at around 45 min (http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii127/okzorg/Boxer_stage.jpg?t=1251350699) - didn't pay attention to the time limit and used 'saved as' a little bit earlier:).
