CGTalk - Oil Monster (2d)

The idea is: making a robot monster that is the allegory of the evil technical civilization. :)
This is the result. I think, the background is bad.
Created in Photoshop (based on a drawing).
Here you can find a drawing tutorial in hungarian language, but there is pictures too! :)

Csodás a mûved!! Már láttam a design21-en asszem ja nem is a render.hu-n és utána olvastam amit Ward-al beszéltetek... Nagyon állatira sikerült, látom írtál hozzá tutort, el is olvasom mert PS-ben nem vagyok jó, rajzolás terén csak fotókat tudok ide oda tologatni :)

(De azért majd nézegetem hogy mi nem jó rajta :DD mert így elsõre tökéletes... )

that is a nice picture, i really like the way you color :D

the only crit id have to say is that the character is lacking, character :p -if thats a good word to use, for me because his head and face isnt defined...

a suggestion would be that on the cieling, to darken the bottom of the beams up. i wasnt sure at first where the light source was and i think by darkening the bottom itd be easier to distinguish

lol its really good, you color awesome, i think the floor and background just need more shadows with the highlighting :D

yeah I totally agree, the picture is kickass! The only flaw I can see is that he has no face, you can't tell if he's pissed, he's happy, or whatnot. :beer:
