source "C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator/My Documents/maya/2010-x64/scripts/pixl_buildHierarchy.mel";
// Error: ˙ūg //
// Error: Syntax error //

I get this error when I source the script, which only contains a global procedure. However, when I paste the code into the Script Editor and execute, there are no errors.

Anyone know what " ˙ūg"refers to? Is this an ASCII formatting problem?

Well this isn't a full explanation of the problem, but I found that if I changed the file encoding from "Unicode" to "UTF-8", the error went away.
