Hello and welcome to my anatomy thread.

Iīve joined the forum to learn and share artistic anatomy with other people and to keep track of my progress over the time. Itīs hard to keep the motivation when learning alone at home, so I hope, learning together with lots of talented people will give me a little boost.

There is so much information about anatomy out there, but for me the hardest part is always to find out the best way to learn all this stuff and to make use of it.
For learning, I use some books about drawing/anatomy and everything I can find in the www, from e-books,articles to forum threads, dvd, etc. but never took lessons/classes or workshops

Iīve started to work on a new portfolio, lost my job a while ago and need to improve my knowledge about anatomy art, which will help me to create a stronger portfolio.

I will post 3d as well as 2d works. I really neglacted to improve my painting/drawing skills and was mainly focused on working with 3d modelling software. But i feel that I have to kinda start over at the drawing board and should practice drawing/painting as much as 3d sculpting.

Besides giving and receiving comments in the froum, I would also like to collaborate with others via network and do some drawing/painting sessions at a choosen day in open canvas (http://wistinga.online.fr/opencanvas/)(or something similar).

Ok, thatīs it for now, I will post some of my works later.

Bye :)

-Manuel

I made this painting of a sculpture from Phillipe Faraut. It took 5 hours so far, but itīs not finished yet, will spend another 1-2 hours and then start something new.
I think itīs not too bad for a first try after a long break from 2d. But should become better with more pratcice :)

Great value. Really dynamic. It has great weight and volume. I can tell that it's a sculpture and not just a painting. Love it! Great work! :)

Great Start. Philippe Faraut's work is an awesome source of inspiration indeed.
