Hi, i'm trying to model a head, first i trace a CV curve copy it create a U loft surface and edit the points but the problem is the shading on the surface seems crisscrossed like light then dark light then dark does anyone no what I mean?
How can i correct this! thanks if u need a pic just ask

modeling a head with nurbs in max is probably the worst possible way to do it

if you are trying to make a head use polymodeling

Okay I figured it out , just delete the surface and create it from beginning to end..
As for Nurbs not being good for Heads Where did u read that? I've seen some awesome heads made w/ nurbs in Max!

Working with MAX NURBS is a quite little way of decent masochism.

nurbs can be a powerful modeling method...but in max they aren't...try another package or method, its better for your sanity
