View Full Version : motionPath uValue vs pointOnCurveInfo parameter

I have a motionPath node connected to a curve, and am driving the uValue attribute.
However, I cannot just connect the same umotionPath.uValue to pointOnCurveInfo.parameter attr. The uValue's range is 0-.01, while the pointOnCurveInfo's range is 0-1.

Why would this be the case? Just a quirk? Am I missing something?

The motion path U value, when set to paremetric length off, only uses a normalized value depending on your unit of measurement (1 if your unit of measurement is set to centmeter) irregardless of the curve's length or parameterization, while the curve info's paremeterization should be based on the curve shape's min-max value.

Since you said that your motion path is gettin only 0 to .01, it seems your unit of measurement is set to meter instead of centimeter. Setting the measurement unit to centimeter should give you your desired result.
