The company I worked for has just shut down, so I'm now looking for work as an environment artist. I have 2 years of experience working as an environment artist on AAA titles for PC, Xbox 360 and the PS3. I also have 1.5 years experience in TV commercials.

I am proficient in next gen techniques, and I have a strong focus on making assets that look great and still work well with gameplay.

You can check out my portfolio and resume here: www.simonbarsky.com (http://www.simonbarsky.com)
I can be contacted at simon@simonbarsky.com (http://forums.cgsociety.org/simon@simonbarsky.com)

It's quite a bad time in the industry at the moment. The place I was working at (Endrant Studios) has also just had to shut it's doors, so I'm also in the same boat as you

If you are willing to re-locate to the UK I've seen a fair few places looking for environment artists. If you haven't already check out (covers most of the planet): GameDevMap (http://www.gamedevmap.com/)

Anyway some really good work there Synthesizer. Best of luck ;)

Your work looks great. You can also chalk me up as one of the people who are now unemployed, heh. Looks like there is some stiff competition right now with so few jobs and so many laid of people fighting for them. Best of luck though, I think your work will get you back in no time.

Layoffs were just for QA.

Oh Well. Just like the majority of people in QA, I just wanted a foot in the door so I can try to move up into an art position.
