View Full Version : 'ERROR ON OBJECT LOADING!' RF4>LW9.6 / f10 render

Hi guys,

I´ve been trying to work with Real Flow 4 water into LW9.6.
The first time I rendered this animation, it was completed well, but I was unsatisfied with the surfacing, so I changed it. Now my surfaces are working fine, with nodes by the way, I used the surfrep.exe to surface all objects based on a .srf file.

I got the mesh loading well on the viewport with DStorm´s Object Sequencer v2 (because Next Limits deform plugin was crashing LW) but when I render an animation, it goes well for about 15 frames, then it crashes, saying 'ERROR ON OBJECT LOADING'.
The meshes are named like Mesh.001.lwo; I tried then with 5 digits also, but it didn´t work at all.

p.s: I changed the objects surface twice with the 'surfrep' and renamed the files once, can this be the problem?

Please, any ideas are more then welcome!

Thanks

I would load in the object that is making the sequence crash - something like water0015? Perhaps that particular mesh is corrupted. The same thing happened to me and that was what was wrong. Hopefully it's the same here.

Thanks Tom. And yes, I got some corrupted meshes, in a range of 150 frames, I got 5 wrong meshes.. I opened then in Modeler and got that message 'Error on object loading. Keep partially loaded mesh?' Then I assigned the surface manually, saved them and in Layout my F10 animation rendered all of the frames. I´m still checking if its totally correct.

I wonder if its common to happen, because in a large range of frames, where you need to let your computer render and you go out to do something else, it would be time consuming.

Usually (at least in most cases I've found) you can just go in and check the file sizes of all of the meshes - if one looks VERY different in between two files then THAT'S usually the culprit. Perhaps you can also use Make Preview which would (hopefully) check to see if all meshes load? It may take longer than just a standard Make Preview since it would have to constantly be loading the meshes, but it should be alot quicker than starting a render overnight and finding a bad mesh early on. And in this case I would shrink Layout down to it's smallest size since then the Make Preview would take much less time.

Good Luck!

Yeah, I got that.. i´m rendering a preview to see where it crashes and correct them.

Thanks.

this corruption comes from buggy .exe surface replace application... this bug make me lost 6 hours of trying to figure out why my lw constantly crash while rendering rf seq

Yeah, its sort of a bug with the surfrep.exe, but I think it might be related to the size of the objects (meshes).
I made 4 more simulations in RF4, and correctly replaced the surfaces, without the problem I had before.
The major difference on the workflow was that I opmitized the meshes in RF. Before, I was getting like 80, 100mb files, now my larger files are getting the size of 15, 20mb.

I´m not using Rf mesh sequence anymore, I´m using Object Sequencer2 (not the LW native plugin) along with Morph Mixer to get some motion blur. The viewport updates the meshes well, and I got no crashes so far with this method.

I hope it helps.
