Hi,

I once had a paint program which made it very easy to create textures.
Your working area is larger than your actual document size.
So, if you would go outside the left of your document, you would end up on the right side again.
That way you could seamlessly place textures next to each other.

Does anybody know a program with that ability?

Thanks in advance
(and sorry for any bad english  )

Bodypaint has that feature but I think alot of paint apps come with that now

Was it a commercial or a free program?

Was it Texture Maker (http://www.texturemaker.com/) by any chance?

I thought it was a trial program, so commercial I guess.
But TextureMaker sure looks like it.

Thanks

Has anyone used Texture Maker ?
Never heard of it before ( though I may have, and just forgot about it... )
Is it useful for creating game textures ( from an 'ease of tiling' point of view ) ?
We use PShop for all our textures, so it'd have to be as good as that for creating textures by hand...would seem a bit pointless to get it to use it just to make tiling textures easier...

Being able to see your texture tiled, while painting, seems like a great feature. Sorely missing from Photoshop. Used to be available in those old 256-color painting apps like Animator Pro, Dpaint, etc. if my memory serves me right. Been a long time.

There are some freebie tiling plugins for Photoshop, but they're mostly junk. Although I like to use the Half Wrap, Left Right Wrap, and Top Bottom Wrap filters, instead of Offset. Much quicker.

Get them here...
