View Full Version : Vehicle: Diablo
JetroPag 08-02-2003, 08:26 PM This is a very old model of mine. Or actually, it was old, until I started to improve it. The old model was low-poly and had ~5000 polys. Now, it has over 10000 polys - unsmoothed.
I'm using max5 with no GI-plugins whatsoever. Just default scanline renderer. (It rocks) :D
What do you think?

Ok.. I made it brighter. Is it better or worse? I'll put the car in later. (it take's so long to render)

The car is awsome but the environment is not imo. U sould try getting the car into a real image instead.

The car is superb but the environment more looks like an environment for a game. And the car looks much better than for a game. So I agree with Radeon.
BTW the Diablo is absolutely one of the coolest cars.=)
Really nice work.
(But if you want to have your own evironment, try to focus on the grass. The trees looks very good and the road looks ok. Hope I wasn't to mean.;)

Thanks for the critics! I know the grass is awful, but I can't help it. If I increase the amount of faces on the grass my computer crashes, or at least slows down dramatically while rendering. :(
Anyway, I tried to make it look better by playing with the ground texture. Tell me what do you think.

The ground looks much better now.
Have you tried this 3dsmax grass tutorial? http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/tutorials/max/grass/grass.asp

Made some major updates with the grass and almost everything else. See by yourself. There's the rainy-thing and the sunshine.
