good job for a first character my concern is with a few issues, im assuming you didn't use a reference so if you went back the second time and used a character reference some of those issues might be resolved
for clarity some of these issues are hands look too small, the head looks alittle squished, the eyes look alittle big, unless ur goin for a cartoony type of look but i dont know, perhaps some more info on the type of character?
keep going all we can ever do is improve

thanx for the feedback..
the hands r not complete as of now .. what u see there is just the palm areas.. the fingres are not there at all .. so i guess ones i put the fingres there , the hand will look proportionate
thanx again

the indent for the waist seems too pinched, women are quite smooth, even throught the curves. The top of the inner curve should be closer to even with the breasts.
looks great for a first try though.
check out http://www.fineart.sk for great references

thanx zachgrachan
i have been using max for around a year or so but this is my first try at making a complete character in maya 4.0..
i'm not using any reference here but i'm trying to give it a fashion model (or say more atheletic) kind of look here so i tried to make it a little edgy at places..
i haven't checked the latest additions on finearts.sk ..i'll see it tnight may b..
as far as the breast areas r concerned that i'll work ones i combine the 2 sides of the body.. as of now im working on the one side only (the seam in the middle would have given u an idea though) keeping the other one as an instance..
hands r complete and i started putting more detals on the collar bone areas tday .. should b ready by this evening ..
will post more views by tnight..
thanx again

to get closer to your goal you should put some references in there to tweak your model alittle bit she just seems out of proportion to me.

The hands are well done. I would try and improve the torso area. I think the front needs to come out a bit.
Promising start for your first attempt though.
Keep going with it.

thanx all for ur feedback..
at this moment. i'm looking for some referencepics for this kind of model .. then i can tweak it in better way i guess.. i'm concerned about the eyes part and the face looks a little bigger than the usual one..
anyway
here's the welded model with clavicles bones and some more tweaking..

The boobs are too low and pointing straight out, normally the nipples will point out to the appropriate direction, and the breasts will be fuller and not so mechanical looking. Bring them up, and fix the proportions on the rest of the body.
See the following image I've corrected for the proportions:

Hope this helps...
