nobody?
atleast I could get answer to one of my questions.
I beleive there are many experts here.
help pls.
If ever I refer to frame rate in any of my answers, I'll be talking PAL (25 frames per second) - if you're in the US, you'll be using NTSC, which is 30 frames per second.
1. What is de interlacing?
When a TV shows you something, it is showing interlaced footage - instead of showing 25 frames a second, it is showing 50 fields a second. Each field is made up of alternate horizontal lines from the main picture. This was originally developed to make TV pictures look a lot less jerky, effectively giving 50 different images a second.
This means that a single frame is actually a snapshot of two slightly different points in time.
However, when you're working with individual frames, you often want it to actually be from a single point in time. Deinterlacing is taking the interlaced image, throwing away every other line, and working out what should replace them - usually be interpolating between the lines that have been left over
http://www.100fps.com/ has a quite indepth article on deinterlacing, the problems and the solutions.
2. Which files do ".sit" extensions refer. I mean which programes are they saved in?
I *think* .sit files are MAC's compressed files. I don't use MACs myself, so someone else will have to confirm that.
3. What does production bundle for After Effects mean?
A question that could easily be answered by going to Adobe's website (http://www.adobe.com). (Looking at the website, I'm assuming that the Production Bundle has been renamed to 'Professional' with the release of 6.0....
Anyway, 6.0 Professional includes: motion tracking and stabilization, advanced keying and warping tools, more than 30 additional visual effects, a particle system, render automation and network rendering, 16-bit-per-channel color, 3D channel effects, and additional audio effects
I seem to remember that this is accurate, as After Effects 5.5 (basic) didn't include things like tracking and stabilisation, etc...
4. Where can I find free plugins online?
Google? (http://www.google.com)
5. How can I install demo and / or free plugins in After Effects? (I have version 5.5).
Check the manual....
5. And the last is although related to editing but I am sure someone here would be able to help me with this -> What is meant by matrox / targa editing?
Matrox and Targa are makers of the hardware used for capturing and playback of video for editing. I'm not sure what hardware Targa are making these days, but the Targa 3000 board used to be a very popular one. Matrox Digisuite is the standard (I believe) Matrox one at the moment. Neither of these are the software (that said, I think the Matrox Digisuite does come with it's own software), and you have to have your own editing package on top of the hardware - I've used DVision Online 3.5 using a Targa 3000, and Discreet Edit* using a Matrox Digisuite LE.....
Hope that's been of some help....
