View Full Version : Bodypaint 2 tutorials
C4Dan 08-02-2003, 02:35 PM Hello,
I just recieved BP2 and didn't receive a tutorial cd, just the installation cd. Did anyone else who bought it get 2 cds? From the sample tutorials on the BP2 page of Maxon's site, I got the impression there should be a tutorial cd.
Thanks!

Have not recieved my copy yet (lucky you!) - so I canīt tell if there is a seperate cd for the tutorials. Did you search the install cd for the tuts? Stupid question, I know.
Did you recieve the read-along book?
Call Maxon support!

Hi pit,
Yes, I searched everywhere on the cd with no luck. The cd itself is labeled "installation" so I would assume there would be a separate one for tutorials.
I didn't receive the book yet. Sasha called and said the books weren't ready yet and asked if I would like them to send BP now or wait til the book is ready to ship. Of course I said send it now! ;)
I emailed Maxon support, but I'm hoping I can get a quicker response here. Maybe I will call them as you suggest. :)

My bet is that the tutorial CD will come with the book. I'm actually quite surprised BP2 is already shipping. I thought it would be another 2 weeks or so.

I was thinking it might ship with the manual as well, AdamT. Then you wonder, what about the people who didn't order BP2 with the manual?

Now I just have to learn how to use it! Hopefully I will post my first WIP soon, I have a half-decent model of my friend's head, just need to learn how to texture it!
Thanks for your response!

as far as i'm aware the manuals will be coming later (with tutorials), but you might want to confirm this with your Maxon representative.

Thanks greekdish. The performance is average... it's only 800 mhz. Render times are pretty bad when hair is involved :hmm: I'm still new to 3D, so I have nothing to compare the performance to. I'm patiently waiting for the G5's to hit the shelves :buttrock:
As far as the color scheme, I love the UI of C4D! A very nice working environment :)
mdme_sadie: That would be cool. Thank you, I'll call Rafi.
