Hi all,

I'm relatively new to Maya, and I'm using it mainly for research. We're developing a Plugin for automating animation through Motion Planners, but I've come to a total halt with the colltion/Interpenetration detection in Maya.

I know how to access the contact information for rigid bodies, however contactCount, contactPosition & contactName are only useful if the bodies are touching but NOT INTERPENETRATING.

Because the way motion planners work, I really need to verify for interpenetration, but neither rigidSolver or rigidBody have information about this. I know maya handles interpenetration some way, because each time two objects interpenetrate you get the ##Warning body interpenetration 'rigidBody1' and 'rigidiBody2'

Is there any way tha one can use the maya api to catch that kind of events? or to get InterPenetration flags?

Thank you,
Sisnett
