Jensen 08-02-2003, 05:08 AM Ok, this is my first model of a head, and although it's mostly not my design, I did model the whole thing. :)

Lookin good. It's hard to critique alien designs because it's hard to know what exactly you are trying to achieve. Maybe if you posted the concept drawing we could tell you how accurated the model is.
Otherwise it looks pretty cool.

There were no concepts :surprised
I just kind of went along, and made stuff up.

What are the lumps made of? the brow will need to be able to move, but if it's solid bone - then it can't. The nose (which seems to be without nostrils atm) and the crest along the top of the head look cool, but not very functional.
all things evolve with purpose

maybe I should change the head thing into like a helmet type thing, for protection of the head?
The nose I'll worry about last.
What would be a good way to make the brow so it's movable, with keeping at least a similar look to it?
Thanks for the help.

actually, the brow looks real good in the 3rd one, guess I missed that last time. I like the idea of a helmet made to match the look of the face, so I'd go with that.
also, just noticed, the eyes seem too far from the bridge of the nose. this is an alien, so it could very easily be perfect, but I'd move 'em in a smidge.
keep 'em coming!

Ok, I thickened the neck, and moved the eyes closer together. I also made the top of the head kindof a "helmet."
