Is it possible to make a rounded rectangle outline? I tried using rectangle selection with selection smoothing, but when you apply the stroke the corners come out jagged (i.e. not anti-aliased)

Draw the shape using the rounded rectangle shape tool. (in the pen section of the toolbar, hold down the shapes button to reveal additional tools)
Look for the radius amount box at the top of the screen to control the rounding. Enter higher numbers for more pronounced rounding...
When you get the shape the way you want, open the "paths" palette and "ctrl" click to load the path as a selection...and viola.

:)

"Anti-Aliasing" jaggies are resolution dependant...higher resolution documents will have smoother curves, lower res images will turn "jaggy" sooner. The path tool has no control over AA.

- create rounded rectangular shape
- set fill in layers palette to 0%
- add stroke layer style

All non-destructive and fully editable.

Thanks very much! Both those techniques work.
