View Full Version : Help, combining seperate character animation files
fxgogo 05-13-2002, 08:31 AM I need to combine 14 seperate animations (all in its own max file) I have done on a character I have made. The animation is on a simple FK skeleton and the character is the same each time. The trouble comes in with the skin modifier. I virtually painted each vertex's weight, so I am not sure how the combining will affect the model.
Any ideas?

The skinning should have nothing to do with it. You forgot to mention which max version you're using. Cheers!

Ok, so I have my dude, with all of these animations on the bones in seperate files. How do I get the animation in from all those max files into one file? I am using 3.1, but I just installed 4.2 today.
Thanks

No the bones set up is the same each time, so it is just the animation that is different. Some of the animations are 3 frames, others are between 5 and 10. They are all character moves for a game we are doing.
Thanks
