the models are friggin cool! I think you did a great job on them!
My only cirt.... I think the backgrounds are too blurred. The cars look almost like they are sittin in a psychedelic environment.
But the cars are great! Interior shots?

Is that HDRi map on the cars or is it the environment that makes the all reflections?
nice cars anyways ! :buttrock:

Wow i like it... how long did it take to render and what software was used?
Nice work!
Put some more details and bring it a bit more hi-res.
But the renders are looking good.
Could we see some wire shots?
Keep it up!

7500 seems a bit high for what is here.

its looking good. and definatly a nice car to model
but there can be some work done around the wheel fenders.
the wheel fenders need to be smoothed.
but good work :)

thanks for the comments all. hopefully i will get better for my next car.
3dartz: the backgrounds are just the HDRI maps and i kinda like the stylization of em, looking like car ads to me, so i left em. i kinda am tired of the car on all white background (though im rerendering my MINI like that so...). it also reminds me of auto concept art where they put abstract color splotches behind the cars in their drawings, which i used to do back in the day.
acorn: the HDRI map is the environment which is reflecting on the car. i just used the basic HDRI tutorial actually :)
stitch: each render was about 35 minutes. it was modeled in maya 4.0, textures in photoshop, and rendered in MAX r5 with brazil.
Sez: as requested

wgeddes: the game this was for has some graphics "issues." like i can't alpha the disc brake onto a square unless i don't mind it glowing fullbright and sorting in front of the wheel itself, so i had to make poly discs which eats up unnecessary poly. max says the scene is 7277 polys though. the renders don't show off the interior detail, which you can see in the wireframe. but im still learning model optimization. i mean you can never learn that enough can you? next one will hopefully impress :)
thanks again for all the comments and critiques. :)

sorry to hear about the shortcomings of the gameengine :thumbsdow
18th_Devil: you do realize this is a lowpoly car for a game, right?

I think it looks nice, I woudn`t say that model looks overpolygoned. Polys are used when needed. Wireframe look great.
As for the reflections, ... I think they are too sharp. I would add some (small) amount of glossy refs. and lower a bit reflectioness.
2nd render/hdri look best IMHO
