View Full Version : How do i make Alpha work in max 5

I Put a uv map on my model but the alphad areas are just grey or black and wont "alpha" themselfes :p. is there something special i have to do ?

In your Bitmap in the Diffuse Color channel, change Alpha Source to None.

Copy the bitmap to the Opacity channel, then change Alpha Source to Image Alpha. Also change Mono Channel Output to Alpha, and if you want also RGB Channel Output to Alpha as Gray (for preview in material editor).
