View Full Version : MAYA Sprites or billboards

Im curious to know if anyone could drop a link or maybe some insight on how I would go about importing a 30 frame looped series of pictures into maya to have it animation as a sprite effect or set as a billboard. I'd be curious to know either. I checked mayas help docs and either I didnt look hard enough or there werent any specifics on how to do it.

Alex Alvarez at the gnomon workshop has a good set on it. Pretty much the one to go to as he explains everything.

Other than that, did you run a search for it? It's a fairly common request.

It seemed like it was thats why when I searched and didnt really find anything, probably because I was looking for something specific, I was a little suprised. I should probably just check out gnomon once I do a little more searching and turn up empty.
