A muscle based face rig that I done with muscle system in maya 2008 extention 2 and maya 2009 .

So far I am happy to use this method ,the flexibility and performance of this system is far a way of what I though about it.
I am still researching on this method.all comments are most welcome

Very nice. Although, the only problem I have with it is the nose stretching too much when he does that chewing motion. But other than that, awesome rig!

Very cool...this might be the first complete face rig I've seen with MayaMuscle actually...

This is really amazing. Don't how it all works, but it looks excellent. The tongue was especially funny. Love it.

I think this system alone can achieve to good face expression poses but to get correct phonemes poses, mixing it with a blendshape system is necessary .
Anyhow as long as this character is rigged for a short animation that doesn’t need phonemes I am not willing to do that.
