some particle testings, 3ds max pflow + Krakatoa for rendering most of the time

Awesome krak shots dude! How did you do the lights inside?

Hi there. I already wrote you a comment on pixelplausch.... I really like your work. Its looking really really nice. Great partickle effeckts. I love the different looks of the emitters and the Lights inside of it. Keep it up!

thank you guys, i think you mean the lights which follow the emitter in some shots right? they are just simple omni lights linked to the emitter :)

I just started practising with particles about 2 weeks ago and already love what I can do with it. This is some awesome motivation to continiue studying this. Truly amazing effects.

hello cool stuff dude i like the effect i didnt test krakatoa (box2) yet .... this is some of my particles animation i use max (pflow),reactor)

Absolutely amazing work. Particles are my secret passion but I still haven't managed to take some personal and computer time to do some experiences. I loved every single effect specially the ones where the light as such an important role. The water looking one is really the less impressive. It looks like a blobmesh or Afterburn hypersolids. I must refer Realflow which you probably know already. One of my favorite aplications.
I would love to see and know more of your work. Please share whatever you can (particle software, rendering software, .....
Thanks!!! And great work!

@mnoire: really cool to motivate you :)
@toufik: i also did not yet try out box#2, would add some realy nice possibilitys i think
@TheMonkeyKing: in fact i did the meshing for the water shot in realflow too, however i just meshed pflow particles no realflow simulation, the quality is not that great because i did these test rather quickly, setup for the most shots in less than an hour.
apliactions: 3ds max, pflow, krakatoa, fumefx and realflow for meshing
if you want to see more of my work in future just add me on youtube :)

Awesome! Did you ever think of using audio and/or video to control the particles or effectors?
08-04-2009, 12:09 PM
Absolutely amazing! I really like the pink one. I wanna see more!

Great Particle EffeX .really really nice .

Oh It is really great!!! :bounce:

thank you guys
@kevinJW: in fact that are some testings for an audiovisualization, the emitter moves to the rhythm of an audio track. The 3ds max space is also completely integrated into the After Effects 3D space so i can swap the positions and keyframes of the emitters between the two applications which is a big advantage for audiovisualistic work :)

for those who wanted to see some more testings

wow dude.. your work is amazing.. i like art with particles.. very crazyy
and the render was beautiful.. congrats

Insane stuff mate! Very, very nice indeed.

Awesome stuff. Lots of eye candy there. I'm guessing you're render and sim times were insane.
08-15-2009, 11:17 PM
Impressive work Matthias. Great use of colours. You made a technical reel into something very interesting to look at.
08-16-2009, 12:38 PM
thank you, in fact the render times are fairly low few seconds per frame :)
