Hello,

I have created a rocky shore line (see image), and no matter what I do the intersection from the rocks to the water does not look real:

I think I have to increase the slope where the water meets the rocks, but I couldn't find a way to do this.
Filter Altitudes doesn't work because it's a procedural terrain, and the editing functions in the terrain editor are not precise enough ( I can't see where the water ends, so it's a big guesswork to say the least).

My guess is that there IS a simple way to do this that I just haven't yet found.

Any hints will be mucho appreciated and awarded with a beer if you'd ever be in my neck of the woods :)

Go ahead and give your scene vegetation and environment then add a "LAYER" to your Landscape.

Thanks for the tip, but I don't want to HIDE the problem (and I don't want vegetation anyway), and I'm fine with how the rock itself looks like (it's a 100% crop of a 3600x2700 render, not a total view).

It's just the line where the water hits the rocks which bothers me, and my hope is that changing the slope of the last 2-3 centimeters of the rocks will do the job.

Looks as though you are using a flat water plain, but with a considerable amount of foam..........I would suggest a procedural terrain for the water, thus providing displacement. And, add shinniness to the rock for a certain distance above the water line where waves have lapped/splashed against the shore: I'd suggest a trawl through the Geekatplay website tutorials (free) to find out how to best achieve the above.

If you are feeling more adventurous add some foam/spray objects for the splash (available at the Cornucopia Store).

Good luck......

open water editor, reduce depth on foam detection.
