why when i tumble with the tumble/rotate button ont he top right of the viewport it tumbles nice an smooth but when i hit ALT LMB it tumbles in weird directions and snaps at certain times. is this normal?

edit:
one more thing how can i turn off the personalized menu type feature in windows. like when you have an error at the bottom of your programs menu to show the programs you havent used lately.
when i got to file menu click on file i get hte popupmenu with 5 options and the rest blank but the arrow is at the top toso the menu scrolls down to show the rest of the options.
let me know if you dont understand.

but im starting to get the hang of the UI :) wahoo.

Alt-tumble... methinks there was something posted about this previously. But essentially what's happening or what helps is to think of yourself tumbling a spherical wrapping around the object. Expect the viewport to tumble much in the same way as you would expect a sphere to rotate by click-dragging in a viewport. The type of rotation depends on where in the viewport you click (has nothing to do with the geometry of the object)... as far as I can tell anyway. I use both methods back and forth and often use the rotate button to realign things quickly when alt-tumble gets weird.

With the menus there seems to be an issue, or at least an issue I've experiences with menus displaying lots of empty space and an arrow depending on where you pull the menu up. it often happens near the edge of the screen. It's a tiny bit annoying but doesn't get in the way too much. It's rare that I use the menus anyway, I mostly set my most common tools to hotkeys and leave it at that.
