View Full Version : Ncloth integration
ruchitinfushion 08-01-2009, 05:03 PM Hello,i m working on water balloon burst effect And i want to do like this way
balloon burst simulation(using maya Ncloth)>water simulation(using realflow)
But my problem is "How can i import Ncloth simulation in realflow?".

i would probably simulate first in realflow using alot of daemons and then have that drive my ncloth simulation in maya.

that means we are not able to export Ncloth in other package. And tell me if i used first realflow for fluid simulation then how can i set collision object in place of balloon.
If any script can do this then plz tell me for export Ncloth simulation.
And here is more IMP point to export
*Bake Ncloth simulation
*convert to normal poly (same as blastcode) after final choice
*make triangulate(for realflow understanding)
*export as *.sd or obj sequence.

Realflow can do softbody dynamics; have you considered doing the balloon that way?

you can cach the ncloth.
then select it and export the ncloth model in sd file format.
remember open the option box, turn on "export deformation"

OMG ,maya crash after directly export simulation without any cache or bake.i m really fool (fatal error). But i will reinstall and try to check fast and thank you for giving reply.

At last midnight i got one revolution point in my mind and point is like as below
>>conversion to *.OBJ
Now days every 3d software have cap to import *.OBJ format so now it is universal format.
and i think we have to export all sim in *.OBJ bcz any package can understand.
>>blastcode fundamental
adjust attrib+field>record(cache)on HDD>keyframe it>delete engine.
here we can get output in simple bunch of object after delete engine.
so ,can i do same with Ncloth
simulation>Cache>Bake>delete Ncloth related node and get final in simple poly object.
