Can anyone suggest a good place to take lifedrawing classes in London? Any info from people with first hand experience would be great.
Thanks

for short classes you may try Central Saint Martin's short and summer courses. they are intensive and very informative.

I attended one of them 4 years ago and it was beneficial now I think they run more than one course.

Hi there,

I am currently two weeks into a ten week course at the Princes foundation on Charlotte road in Old Street.

http://www.princesdrawingschool.org/

There are a number of classes. I am on a very observational course at the moment and enjoying it however some of the poses are an hour long and I wanted to really get to grips with my quick sketch technique. All good, I do the quick sketch stuff in my spare time and some of the exercises are very good if a little traditional.

There are other classes and teachers. I do Monday evenings.

Good luck

there are countless courses available. where abouts in london? i go to the insight school of art (www.insight-art.co.uk) - they do life drawing/sculpting and painting and have schools in barnet (northern line) and st. albans (just outside of london). lifedrawing is £185 for 9 weeks. alternativly middlesex university (cockfosters on piccadilly line) offers free life drawing on wednesdays (i think thats the right day - i used to go a couple of years ago).

hope that helps - have a look on google and im sure you'll find something

I'd like to suggest this one - www.lifedrawingsociety.co.uk/ (http://www.lifedrawingsociety.co.uk/) - I don't think there's much in the way of actual tuition. You just turn up and do your thing. Very reasonably priced and flexible as to which days you want to attend. I went to one last summer but hope to go back more regularly when the weather improves.

I also went here for the Saturday day class - www.candidarts.com (http://www.candidarts.com/sections/whatson/life_drawing_courses.htm) - You do get tuition and guidance and very reasonably priced.
