hey there i'm hoping you all can help me with this

I have a pretty heavy scene that I was handed and I'm trying to improve the playback rate of the scene with textures and what not. I tried hiding certain parts of the model however it didn't seem to improve the FPS. I tried slapping a Reduce node on some of the objects but then it has to recalculate the Reduction every frame of playback. If I delete history then the object looses its animation. Is there a way I can lighten up these objects to improve the play back. Thanks very much folks.

You can try using layers, or just playblast your animation for better results.

Technical In app demo I can't play blast it needs to be in real time in the view port unfortunately. I have been experimenting just stripping the higher polygon parts off the skeleton and that helps alittle bit but these guys are looking for like 15fps on a huge heavily textured model. so I'm still tryin to work out a solution. Thanks for the suggestion though.
