View Full Version : Six Point Axe
lisaac31 07-31-2009, 03:28 AM Hi Everyone,
I'm new to CG Talk. Here is an axe that I created in 3ds Max. This is some of my early work. Please critic.
Thank You

Good job. I like the shape of the blade, but it seems really thin. Also, 340 polys seems a bit much for an object like this. Did you check the model for any pointless polys?

I like the blade, but it seems really thin. Also remember to check your model for any unnecessary polygons.

I'd say rethink the blade head design to make it much more dynamic. Right now it looks rather brittle and has a sort of "yep, these are the tools he used" look to it. Take a piece of paper and sketch out about a dozen ax heads with six points and see what kind of variety you can get going. Then model the axe head that has you thinking "wow."

i like the weapon you have thou you could get more creative with it i can see several things one might do with it or something with an axe, over all i like it and seems like a nice weapon.

Hi lisaac31,
You can imbed images in posts by using Img tags around the image url. Most people do this because it's easier for people to see your work.

Photobucket actually does this for you automatically if you click on the following link below the image on your photobucket page:
