Hi guys, I'm here again with another image that i've done.
I've been working in max for about 7 months, I did this scene for a contest of Middle Ages.

Ok, first up, pretty nice image, composition. Not bad since you've been using max for 7 months...but really, that is irrelavent isn't it... The crits?..here we go....

Depth of field in the foreground, in this case makes the city look like a miniuture. The modelling is not too bad but some parts don't look right, like the tops of the towers. They look a little like cardboard. Perhaps some beveling on the edges, some variation cracks etc..would help.

The big killer is the lighting. It looks very flat and bland. Not enough contrast and interest. It looks like you fell into the trap of illuminating the scene just so we could see all your hard work. Try subtle colored lighting...something more elaborate.

Thats my 2 cents anyhoo.....

it looks very tiny, like a minature model of a medieval city.
