Heres a mock up film poster I created.
Photoshop work i did on a real photo of a car i grabbed from the net, and added all sorts of crazy filters etc. to achieve the result. I also added in an explosion in the background from a stock photo I had. :)

Hi, this is the start to the modelling of the main character. Poly modelling in 3dsmax2010.

Car model looks very nice.
I am not convinced with the bike transformation.
Doesn't look lkie a bike at the end. It looks as if it just got slim.
I was also thinking of car to bike transformation but there is not enouth time left.
Good luck with character.

Thank you for the reply pierzak (http://www.pierzak),

I was starting to think no one could see my posts!
Firstly thank you for the kind comments, and fair comment with the Car to Bike, very early stages, and im gonna cheat slightly in the fact that im building a finished, cooler looking final bike to replace the one that the Bugatti turns into, its the same shape etc., but will look nicer, and ill just mask the change with special FX and a nifty swap. :) I think it will work, im quite excited to try this out actually. But deffo thanks for the comment, I like the crit regardless, if there wasnt any crit then there wouldn't be any guidance.

Hello, heres the 2nd update of my Hero model. the shape is deffinatley getting there, I quite like this, cant wait to see him done! :)
I doubt ill be doing any talking in this anim, grunts and Huh's, thats about it really, so only minimal Morph targets to be applied.

Hey mate its all looking pritty cool.
Apart from the car not looking like it could actually physically break down into a bike that size it looks really cool. And it does look cool.
Character is coming along nicely as well. Good luck with the rest of the comp. Looking foward to seeing more

\\\\\\cheers (http://forums.cgsociety.org/) Galvaniseoil,

thank you for the kind comments, much appreiciated. :)
I know, ive been having a rethink with the car to bike, im still going to do it, cos i think the end results gonna be sweet, what i was thinking is like in Dark Knight, where his tumbler front part bursts open and the bike shoots out after the wheels transform in, im gonna try and replicate that sort of scenario, so inside the car, his seat will go back, and down into the front of the car almost, before the car breaks apart revealing the bike, im just about to upload a sample now showing something similar I did yesterday, not quite there yet, but fingers crossed!

thank you again for the reply, just checking out your post. :)

the car transform would probably work fine as long as you didn't see it as a whole. With some fancy editing and close-ups of particular parts of it I could probably pritty easily hide the fact it isn't "technically" correct
Looking foward to sseing your new stuff

I actually wanna get this sorted out, all the particle bits flying out the back look too much, so gonna refine this tonight when i get back. i think this scene is gonna be the bane of my animation! better get it right and done first as its gonna be quite a big scene.

sknne77
08-03-2009, 10:14 AM
Here is the story for my animation; (so far)

We begin, Fade on, Agent Unconscious tied to a chair, we zoom out to reveal a timer ticking down, 05:45 - 05:44 - 05:43 - Agent slowly awakes, and focuses on the beeping timer.

'Huh!'

looking around frantically, the agent then stops to think, he wiggles his wrist, a look of relief on his face, he reaches his right thumb over to his watch that is still on his wrist, and presses the side button after angling the watch.
'BLAST' a red laser shoots out of the watch, burns through the agents sleeve, and then begins to burn the ropes, he looks up as if to say 'doh'

Snap, snap, snap! The ropes all come lose and up gets the agent!
The agent moves over to the bomb to inspect it...

'Sh*t'

He realises he cannot disarm the bomb 05:34 - 05:33 - 05:32 -
SMASH, the agent slams through the only door in the room and runs out onto a rooftop 70 storeys high, quickly looking around, he sees some cabling running from this building to a lower one, suddenly a bullet ricochet's off the concrete next to him, then BLAST! the cabling snaps, and falls into the streets below, he looks over to his right and sees two masked men, one stood up on the rise of the building , the other ducked down pistol in hand aiming at the agent. Both men have parachutes ready for base jumping.

The agent, begins his run towards the enemies, rolling and dodging while he goes. The man on the rise leaps off, the other after letting off a few shots tries to join him, but the Agent grabs his foot and lamps him one right in the face, and they both tumble over the edge, the enemy punches the agent, the agent returns the punch whilst grabbing at the enemy’s parachute. He manages to pull the cord, and they both go up as the chute opens, and then begin to descend faster than intended.
The Agent manoeuvres them both towards a parking lot as they both punch each other; the agent gets the final punch in and knocks out the enemy, THUD!

They land in a heap and slam into the side of a white van leaving a big dent.
Agent gets up shaken, but not stirred, and presses something on his watch, Bleep, Bleep! A dark blue Bugatti Veyron parked new the van unlocks...

To be continued, only because ill have to type up the rest later, lol. At work now.

Thank you for your kind comments, im itching to get on with the actual animation, ive sketched first half of my storyboard, ive still to upload this, ive kind of got my story down roughly on paper, but i work better visually, i can get an idea in my head, and to do an animated story board sometimes works better, so i may do that. aaagh, the pressure. lol :wip:

First animated take on the rooftop scene, roughed out the animation, character still needs properly weighting down. But im happy with it upto now, he's attempting to dodge bullets and them lamps the enemy, but the momentum carries them both over!!

Hello all, im sure as all of you, Ive begun to realise what a pressure it becomes when you've got so many great ideas, but not enough time to execute them all which is a shame really, but ive been battling with my first scene of the agent escaping from the rooftop for the past week, trying to get things done as well as working and my home life, fitting everything in has become a chore, so ive now got 21-22 days left, and thats not including the possible arrival of my first baby! eek upon eek! Im gonna battle on and hopefully come up with something great, wish me luck as I wish all of you luck also!

Battle on!

Hi all, heres my second attempt at my rooftop escape. I wanted a bit more dramatics on the roof before the leap of death, so ive kinda took a different route to his tactics, rather than just steaming in, he's going to take out the enemy with cunning!

hey man,
I like that you kept it fast. It is more eye catchy when shots are about 2-3 sec each.
Overall quality of renders is not the best but that happens to everyone when you need to rush things. Perhaps you can color correct it in after effects or any other software.
I think you should add some motion blur. Even if its image motion blur I think it will make a difference and make it look even better. Character run cycle is not looking natura, you might want to tweak it after the competition is finished. You will have a nice shot for your portfolio.
Well done.

Great job I like the mood. Big props to you for taking the risk of using a realistic style for your characters. The fall from the building is neat!

Good luck.
