ok I look around in the manual
and the only thing I can find is .. in advanced options
that you can change the res for the texture.

so if I make a 600 by 500 texture in photoshop then I can
put the same units into the advanced options menu?

will this make my floor ground more clear?
missing class is bad!
thanks again..

I'm sorry, despite 3 reads of your post, I can't understand what your asking.

Can you try again?

I had to shut down max and open it up again after I changed the texture for the texture to be changed in max.

lets ssee if it worked.

Usually, when you want a texture to update after you've changed it in PS, you can just hit the "reload" button in the bitmap map to make it update. If you use a PSD, you can have it automatically update each time you save the file in PS.

For something like a parking lot, you may want to think about using a procedural map, or a procedurally mixed set of bitmaps. For the lines, debris, and details, you could just use a mask from PS. It all depends on how close you have camera to the texture.

Look for Leigh's texturing tutorials on CGTalk. She goes into alot of detail about this sort of thing.
