CGTalk - Maya fur problem

I have a problem about applying fur on a poly surface, as you can see on the above picture, i want to apply fur on a coat but when i attach a new fur description, that doesn't cover all the surface but only a little part.

How can fix it ?

check your UVs first

Uvs are good now but i still have the same problem, with more fur applied on the surface :shrug:

are your uv's edges all sewn together?
are all the edges on your mesh merged together?
