cdinic 07-31-2003, 07:46 PM I need to get my MAX files into Lightwave without any screw ups.. ideas?
I was exporting from Max to 3ds files and trying to load them into LW. They were all messed up so I figured it was LW impoter. They actually look the same when I load the 3ds files back into Max...

I'd advise against .3ds as a file export.
Try using .obj. Go here:
http://www.habware.at/duck4.htm
and grab MAX2OBJ.
Install the plugin, and expor to .obj.
Should do the trick pretty well. Watch the scale, though, as max's scale is microscopic compared to LW's.
