Hi,

Does anybody know, hot to make a realistic looking rain like in picture? What plug-in/method to use ? For both, realistic caps, (this can be done IMHO with basic particle system) and reflected wather from ground.

Since you're in the compositing forum, I'll tell you how I would do it.. I'd shoot footage of misty rain against a black background. Take that into my 3D program and map that onto cards that encompass the car. Render that out. In my compositing package I would lumakey out the rain (since it's on black) and put that over my racing car. Since you rendered both things in the 3D world, you should be able to adjust camera angles and such in your 3D program, and render both passes out and comp them together.

If I had time, I'd render out car headlight beams to give the illusion that the car is lighting up the rain.

Pretty simple description above, but that's the basics I would start with. There are also more complicated ways of rendering out tracking points from your 3D program, importing the images or track data into your comping program, and adding mist that way.

Good luck!

Try ctrl+Print Screen, and then open a photoshop (or similar), create a new image and paste there your captured screen :)

To capture a screen shot, pres Ctrt+PrintScrenn (Left to Scroll Lock), it will save into a memory, so you can paste it in a photoshop ....

or seek for the Fraps utility :)
