It is funny, a lot of the key things he discusses, intelligent assests. More streamlined and affordable production solutions, greater value for money resources. All seem to be things that Autodesk have either been slow to pick up on or else have actively resisted the trend developing in the market.

In terms of Discreet and now AME Systems, this is the compnay who has consistantly scoffed at the developing trends in compositing and encouraged users to ignore cheaper and more productive solutions in favour of the swolen dinosaur systems, especially in the TV market.

I think the downturn in inflated advertising revenue has got them on the ropes badly. As no one is prepared to pay their outrageous maintenance and upgrade fees, for the last FFIS builds that don't really add much year to year.
