I haven't even started modeling something I can animate because I don't own a modeler with an animator but I was thinking of getting Maya...I was wondering if there was a way to set it up so like I could assign a point to a hand...then another point to the elbow...and then move the hand point around and it would twist and turn at the elbow point like a normal arm?

thx

Krisc, are you talking about Inverse Kinematics (IK)? Well you were pretty close in your description about them except that you would assign the first point to the shoulder and the second point to the hand leaving the elbow untouched. Then when you move the hand around any joints inbetween the two points will rotate accordingly.

By the way, I'm new to this forum, does anybody know how I get an ID image under my name when I post something:D
