Can someone give me some info how others sort files in a shortmovie project.
You know floders name, file names...I have tested some difrent but in the end I get so meny files that I dont know with is with.

I use "Save as +" a lot

Workflow really is a matter of taste... I mean... Basically I break my projects up into a few catagories for example.

I break a scene up like this:

Character (modelling)
Character (rigged & textured)

Environment
Lighting

I save up on increments, just in case I do something "oopsie", I go back to the previous save and continue on.
I make four folders, and when I'm satisfied with the outcome I name it project_folder_final.

Once my character is modelled, I pass the final off from that folder to the Rig & Tex folder.

WHen all is said and done I merge whatever elements I need together in one scene, or I render them seperatley for compositing.

It really is a matter of taste, and this works for me, but might not work for you.

Just one thing, it really is okay to have 30 versions of the same file....lol
