Excellent hombre! Just so you don't get too big a head, one of the creases in the right pants leg looks a little too sharp. ;)

Hey Dan, hope you don't take this the wrong way, because what you've done looks fantastic, really convincing in every way - but he kinda looks like he's wearing his pyjamas! ( *ducks* )

Maybe a bit of mud would sort things out, or some belt hooks and buttons - or maybe it's deliberate and he's gonna be a kind of cuddly gunslinger with a teddy bear... probably not.

I agree with chrissyboy, pajamas was my first thought when I saw this, maybe denim would look better, or just a dark brown dusty texture , awesome modelling though, are you going to build him a horse?, that would finish him off perfectly

hmm yeah there does not seem to be very much weight to the pants.

maybe if you definied the seams a little bit we could see how heavy the material is supposed to be.

But a very very nice peice of work.

Also the top of the pants is a little undefined, maybe if you made it thicker and made the belt loops more defined and made more of a crotch area or something.

anyway yeah its partly the material and partly the lack of heaviness to it that gives you problems.

It is VERY nice though don't get me wrong.

i gotta say that its coming out nice. but i gotta throw a small critique at the pants. don't cowboys wear jeans or something else besides pajamas. sorry didn't mean to insult. :hmm:

Howdy,

You're right, I reckon they do look a little too much like pajamas. I can't have my cowboy wearin' his pajamas into town, they'd laugh him out of the saloon.

I had the base color layer too light so the worn area layer wasn't showing up well either.

How about this one:

That's a little better. I think part of what makes them look pajamalike is the soft folds. Jeans and heavier fabrics have sharper breaks.

Also, maybe it's just the angle, but it sort of looks like he doesn't have any hips and his gun belt might fall down around his ankles.
