Single 512x512 diffuse for textures. This can include alpha.
Finished entries will need to have: Beauty, wireframe and texture sheets.
Have fun!

Just got back from Turkey, anyway what's 128 about this challenge ?

nothing 128 about this comp haha. I do like the freedom of the higher limits once in a while though. sliding to a 256 wouldn't be devastating or anything. hopefully everything's locked, cause I've got a WIP already:

skunk in a gas mask. couldn't resist. alpha mohawks ftw. felt like tossing up a wip since i'd hate to stink this place up with a skunk on skunk battle. sitting at 576 tris currently, might be able to squeeze a few more tris out, but I plan to use the rest of the limit on more alpha stuff here and there to pimp out the silhouette a little more, and for some gasseous effects on the beauty. unwrap next.

Have the model nearly done... will be texturing through the weekend!
Also velenosangue has posted some concepts in his sketchbook thread.
@velenosangue I am going more cartoony then you are... but it is going to be cool to see how it turns out you doing a ferret as well.
So expect something from me tomorrow or more probably monday.

I think this is probably one of the more interesting challenges, however you caught me right at the end of summer II classes so I can't do anything :(

i ended up working on a 256 on the character and a 128 for gas. i kept it under 500 because I wanted to be eligible to post in <500tri thread over at PC. Was trying to see what I could pull off with minimal specs. Gas is just alpha planes, if you want to count that too it'd be 517 tris for what you see. I'll likely work on this a little more before I fully let it go, its been fun for sure. i wanted him to pose him being propelled through the air with his spray. i hope to see some more entries!

Oi, boomz, that is very nice!
on another note I am quite sorry but my entry will not be happening today. I was off the grid, my computer broke down, so I have had no time to make the textures look decent... base is there but nothing ninja'ish yet, so I rather let it be.

Hi guys,
I'm still on schedule to complete mine tonight.

I'm gonna give everyone till tomorrow morning. This one entry thing isn't cutting it. I thought doing a slightly higher poly count and a character would get people to come out.
Also, 00:00 means Midnight. The deadline was this morning at 00:00.

Stopped working on mine a little before midnight, then put together my entry sheet. If I didn't run out of time I would have liked to add some real detail to the jacket -- seams, pockets, folds, etc. I would have also liked to touch up the texture seams and add some alpha fur.

Great job everyone who entered. Solid entries.
But I am going to pick Boomz as the winner. On time, on spec and great texture work. Wondering why you went with a texture sheet 1/4 size there, still good though!

But overall I would have liked to see more character personalities come through. I just don't feel the "Warriors" vibe when I look at them.
Boomz, you're up for setting up the next MGAC!!! Have fun!!

Sweet! I liked your storyline and character as well, velenosangue. I agree the 'warrior' could have been emphasised more in my entry, more of a brute/warrior class interpretation-- a roid-rage mouse would have been excellent to investigate-- but I was picturing any class capable of fighting on a battlefield, and kindof had a Sam Fisher Skunk in mind from the get-go. For my map, I didn't feel a 512 was necessary with the style I was pursuing and the simplicity of the character (no extra props etc., just using his natural abilities to defeat foes). I'll have to reference old MGACs to make sure I don't repeat.
