When modeling blendshapes for facial animation what method do you use? If you model a smile blendshape would you model the left side of the face smiling then the right side smiling and make 2 sliders and slide them together?

If you want to make one blendshape for the smile and only want to model the smile on one half of the face, mirror it and make a blend shape then the UV coordinates would be screwed. So does this mean you have to model the smile for both sides of the face?

What would be really helpful is a script so that when you move a vertex on the left side of the face the corresponding vertex would relatively move on the right side. Thus keeping the UVs and asymmetry.
