Hi,

I was wondering how or if it's possible to referencing an Animation Clip into another Maya Scene.

I have a Master scene with my render globals, and lights which is referencing a fully rigged character and I'd like to reference in two animation clips for this character in the master scene.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Hi,dude, I'm not sure what the exact situation there, but normally I do not use animation clips. Because there are always some unexpected problem ocured when I use it(I don't know why.). I just copy the aniamtion.
The procedure is like this:open maya--open animated file--select controls--copy the aniamtion--close the file--open unanimated file--select controls--paste the aniamtion.
Hope that helps.

edit: I misunderstood what you meant. In fact, I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you wanting to know if you can transfer animation from one character to another, or if you can reference more than one file?

you could have your character in a clean scene with animation and reference him into your lit render scene (if that's what you're after?)
