I have an upcoming project where we need to show soil from the ground being stirred up , seeing it from a cut out dissection view. So the soil elements need to flow nicely. Looking for reference online I saw this nice youtube video:

The Liquid simulation is not important, but that feeling and look of grain is perfect! How would something like that be achieved? Through tweaking liquid simulation in Blender? Could it be a really render intensive Dynamics simulation? And what program would be the easiest or best option. I have Cinema 4d, blender easily at my disposal.
THANKS!
Chris
