View Full Version : Problems with lack of red on my monitor??!!

Can anyone help?
My monitor is either really ****ed or some hardware is malfunctioning. All of a sudden the sreen seems to flick red and then just continues to be generally blueish for the rest of the time.

I tried adjusting the colour settings of the monitor but when I push red up to the max it just shows as black!! Has anyone had this or know what has happened?

possible solutions:

*check the data cable on both ends; if it's loose, see if attaching it more firmly would fix the problem.

*remove your video card and attach it again properly.

*replace the monitor with a good known functioning monitor; if it's still malfunctioning, the problem is with the video card-- replace it

if all else fails, your monitor is the culprit, bring it to a shop for repairs or buy a new one; damages are often recurring-- if the repair costs more than half the price of a new one, just buy a new one.
