I read a press release saying that it would be available in August, but got a email saying maybe not till middle of September. Anyone know more? I am really impressed with this product and its support team. I have the learner edition and am really thinking about passing on the LW upgrade for MB 5. It is so fast and easy to use sort of a dream come true.

They said september at siggraph. If you haven't seen the new MB5 story mode in action, you're going to be blown away:thumbsup: Motion blending is even easier than before.

I think a LW8/MB5 combo would be a fine addition to my toolset.

ok got an email today (sure you all did too) and it says to allow 6-8 weeks for delivery, and that a download will be available in september. So does this mean that they are just waiting for all the packaging, manuals and cds are produced? I surely pray it doesn't mean that development is not completed.

I havent seen anything from siggraph, the only previews I have seen are the ones at the kaydara site, Anyone have any links to other previews? I haven't downloaded too many of the movies either, damn dial up! The quad stuff looks frigging amazing though!

ok back to work now!

oh yeah, I am not giving newtek any money yet, waiting toll they improve the render speeds first. I admit that what I have heard about LW8 looks good, but I know that it will not be as nice to use as MB is.

Development is on schedule.

Manuals and packaging will be ready for shipment early september

If you upgrade to a permanent license of MB5, you will be able to download MB5 before everybody (we will notify you in late August where you will be able to download it ... and yes we will still ship you the books + box when ready ...)

Hi Michel,

I am finally animating in CG and its thanks to your Motion Builder.

Coming from a stop motion background with basic photoshop skills I have never been able to grasp CG animating, but now with the help of some CG friends and MB, my mad creations are starting to come to life!

Thanks for creating such an intuitive product that allows even a simple man of clay to play!

Best wishes!

Buzz gave out a MB5 vtm at siggraph (they also went over story mode live). Maybe it will be online soon.
